Session III: Priorities of Indigenous Peoples and local communities at the United Nations Biodiversity Conference: Mobilization of Financial Resources.\n  \nDATE: Wednesday  9 October\, 2024 \nTIME: 2:00 PM (Montreal time) \nMODALITY: ZOOM (registration required) \nLANGUAGE: English and Spanish. \n  \nAbstract:  \nThe International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity launches the Training workshop towards COP-16\, a series of webinars sessions to strengthen capacities of Indigenous Peoples and local communities participating of the Sixteen Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-16)\, which will take place in Cali\, Colombia\, from 21 October to 1 November 2024. \n  \nDuring 5 sessions\, IIFB experts will address not only essential concepts but also practical tools for a successful participation of Indigenous Peoples and local communities. Among other topics\, speakers will approach the structure of the COP\, the basics of the negotiation process\, key topics of the traditional knowledge agenda for COP-16\, how to analyze a document\, how to prepare statements and texts to be negotiated and how to organize events within the COP. \n  \n  \nAgenda\, Presentations and Resources: Available soon
