Oliviah Tawarar is a passionate communications specialist with strong technical insight intoenvironmental and biodiversity issues. With over seven years of experience in the biodiversity space, she has played a pivotal role in advocating for conservation efforts across Africa.

Her journey includes impactful work with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Africa, where she was instrumental in establishing the African Youth for Nature Network, a vibrant initiative that mobilized young people across the continent to champion the New Deal for Nature.

Oliviah also served with the African CSOs Biodiversity Alliance (ACBA), a coalition of over 80-member organizations, under the secretariat of the African Wildlife Foundation. In this role, she provided strategic communications leadership, alongside technical and administrative support. She successfully spearheaded ACBA’s visibility and participation in major international biodiversity forums, ensuring that African civil society voices were powerfully represented on the global stage.
