On Sunday 15 February 2026, the IIFB held its preparatory Caucus meeting, where Indigenous Peoples and local communities’ representatives of the IIFB gathered in a full-day meeting to finalize discussion on the different agenda Items of #SBI6 (16 -19 Februry, 2026). Statement for each agenda item were prepared and submitted.
The IIFB Caucus meeting was also visited by the Secretariat of the CBD to give a briefing in preparation for the SBI6 meeting.
