News | 29 April.- In the framework of the twenty-sixth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 26), that will take place from 13 to 18 May in Nairobi, Kenya, the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB) will host a side event on Traditional Knowledge Indicators and the monitoring framework of the Kunming – Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).
The meeting, scheduled on May 18th, 2024 at 3:15 EAT, is organized jointly with the Forest Peoples Programme (FPP), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Landmark (WRI), Indigenous Navigator, Nia Tero, One World Analytics, the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the International Law Commission (ILC).
The event will address topics including National Reports, Indicators, Implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity, Indigenous peoples and local communities Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Traditional Knowledge, Innovations and Practices.
