Chrissy Grant is Kuku Yalanji from the Jalun-Warra clan and Torres Strait Islander Elder, in Australia.
She has worked for more than 35 years with communities on cultural heritage management and conservation and protection of natural resources. She is the former Director of Indigenous Heritage with the Australian Government. She is one of the founding members and currently chairs the International Indigenous Peoples’ Forum on World Heritage (IIPFWH), providing a voice for Indigenous peoples about their concerns on nominations and reports at World Heritage Committee meetings.
