Polina Shulbaeva is a Selkup woman from Central Siberia. For more than 20 years, she has worked on Indigenous Peoples’ rights, customary and sustainable use of biodiversity, and traditional knowledge systems for sustainable development. She works at the Center for Support of Indigenous Peoples of the North (CSIPN), the leading organization that works to protect the rights of the indigenous peoples of Siberia and the Russian North and Far East, which provides informational, educational, expert and legal support to a range of representatives of Indigenous Peoples. She is a member of the Expert Group Aborigine Forum Indigenous Peoples of Russia.
