Indigenous woman, born in the islands of the Guna People of Panama. She carries a deep connection with nature that has guided her life and career, making her a woman who walks between two worlds: ancestral knowledge and academic science.

Her academic background includes a Master’s and Postgraduate degree in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá; a Master’s Degree in Educational Management with Specialization in Higher Education Teaching, Hosanna University, Panama; a Certification in Introduction to Project Management from the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO), Ecuador; a Certification in Project Management and Evaluation from Hosanna University, Panama; a Bachelor’s degree in International Tourism Business Administration from the Universidad Interamericana de Panamá; and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Universidad de Panamá. She speaks three languages: Spanish, English, and Guna.

This solid academic preparation has enabled her to lead initiatives across diverse sectors, ranging from environmental management and biodiversity conservation to the strengthening of community entrepreneurship, sustainable tourism, and cultural promotion on international stages.

For more than 15 years, she has worked in the management and evaluation of projects with social, cultural, touristic and environmental impact, collaborating with government institutions, international organizations, and local communities. Her leadership has focused on integrating indigenous worldviews with scientific innovation to build sustainable and culturally relevant solutions.

As Panama’s Cultural Tourism Delegate in Europe, she brought the voice of her people to the international stage, showcasing both the cultural richness and the commitment of Indigenous Peoples to Mother Earth and humanity. She has also served as a university professor, sharing knowledge in Environmental Chemistry.
