IIFB online Caucus Meeting in preparation of the Resumed Session of the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP16.2) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)

SUMMARY:
The International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB) held its Caucus meeting, with the participation of over 90 IIFB representatives attending, in preparation for the Second resumed session of the sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity to be held from the 25 – 27 February 2025 in Rome, Italy.
The Caucus discussed the main outcomes of COP16, Cali, as well as had presentation from the IIFB Working Groups on DSI, Indicators, Resource Mobilization and Target 3, in preparation for COP16.2.
One of the Main items was the presentation and approval of the IIFB Position on Target 3 of the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) joined the meetings and shared updates and logistical matters for COP16.2, in Rome.
